OK, so there's Trekkies, and Force-junkies...Why is there no proper name for LotR nuts?

As far as I know, Ringer, Lordy and Tolkienite are the top names. What do you call yourself? I generally say Thewierdpersoninthecornerwithpointyearsandastaff.

Oh, I just got the TTT soundtrack a few days ago - I like all of them best! Gollum's Song is very sad and Gollum-y. The singer's voice isn't the prettyest in the world (in my opinion), but it's definately growing on me.

I really like FotR, mostly because it' s the most accurate of them all. It seems to me like the farther Peter Jackson got into the Trilogy, the less and less accurate to the books he got.

It's true, the Silmarilion is pretty hard reading, but if you're a serious fan, it's a must.
